2/18/2008 Weekly Update Chapter 2 I finished up a good portion of chapter 2 this weekend. I'm actually going through the whole animation process extremely quickly, not because I feel rushed in any way, but because I now feel comfortable with the process. Intro I received the voice work for the intro, and completed a good portion of that as well. I would say it's 30% complete so far. What's this: a Q&A?! I have received emails from readers who have had questions lately. I am going to go ahead and answer them right here! I know it may sound tricky, but I want to show how much I care about you, the reader. Q1: Hello, good sir, I have enjoyed your game modification Zombie Slayer quite a bit. I think it's brilliant! Just BRILLIANT! My question is thus: I heard you were searching for a webmaster. Is this still true? Answer: Yes, I am still searching for a webmaster! How did you guess? Are you a mind reader?! Q2: I heard that you were also searching for someone to code the main menu for you? Answer: Where do you people keep hearing these rumors?! Yes, it's true -- it's all true! I need help! Send me an email if you are interested! Q3: As I was speaking to my friend Bob Vila over some tea and crumpets, my monocle popped out as he informed me that you might have updated the about page! Is this true? If so, I must challenge Bob to a duel to save my honor because I called him a liar! Answer: While your plight is a truly terrible one, I must inform you that, yes, the about page is updated! I fear that you must battle Bob. Please post your duel on youtube. For further questions, or if you are interested in helping out with the HTML or main menu for Zombie Slayer, please email me either at the link below or at bryan dot henderson at gmail dot com. Also, I would appreciate it if people other than English gentlemen would email me. I don't think I would like to have any blood on my hands again. -BHenderson |

2/13/2008 Small Update I'm still cracking away at the project. I'm constantly bugging a few of the voice actors to get their remaining lines to me. It's tough work, but someone has to crack the whip! As it stands right now, I am stuck on the latter half of chapter 2 because I am waiting for some lines. In the meantime, I finished up the intro script, sent those lines out to a voice actor, and started work on the intro map and models. There will be some highly technical aspects that I will have to try to get around. I guess that will be a road I'll cross when I get there. I don't have any other updates. Feel free to bug me with any questions you have. I apologize for the brevity of my posts, but I am taking 15 hours of classes this semester. With much fatigue, I write these posts. Webmaster I'm still searching for a webmaster. I know it's purely volunteer work on your part, but I promise you that you will receive special sneak peeks of the project. How cool is that? -BHenderson |

2/6/2008 Project Resurrected The project is underway. Expect an exciting media update soon! Project Status I performed the preliminary setup for the remainder of Chapter 2 last night, and I plan on finishing most of the latter half of the storyline sequence this weekend. -BHenderson |

Is it Canceled? If you have been keeping track with the updates on Zombie Slayer on the ModDB page, you had probably seen my decision to cancel the project; however, there has been somewhat of a resurgence of popularity of the mod with the PC Gamer Article (see below). That, and the fact that people are starting to come around to liking the mod makes the option of canceling the project a difficult one to swallow.
The point I am trying to make is that I don't know if I want to cancel the project anymore. I am going to think about it over the next few days while I scramble to study enough for the two exams I have coming up (yes, I am taking 15 hours of classes this semester). Other Project? I spent the last month and a half writing the script for Quake, a cgi flick that Joe Goss is animating for fans. You can see the official trailer here: (youtube link) Webmaster Still Wanted Do you think you're awesome enough to make this website design better? Well, you're not. Okay, maybe you are. Just shoot me an email if you are interested. -BHenderson |

10/2007 The Zombie Slayer demo will be released very soon. It will be around 74 megs, and will contain an entire chapter (the latter half of Chapter 1 and the first half of Chapter 2). Team members have already seen the footage (hey, it's a perk of being a team member). Please stay tuned for the demo, and please bear with me while I try to make the site look reasonable. Special thanks to fellow Shacker Naabster for hooking me up. -BHenderson |
